Do I need to schedule an appointment? How long are appointments usually?

We highly recommend making an appointment so that you receive your stylist's complete attention throughout your visit. Our appointments take precedence, but we are beyond happy to accept walk-ins as our schedule allows. If you walk-in and we are at capacity - we will make sure to find a time that fits your schedule to come back and put you on a wait-list in case of cancellations.

Our appointments are about 75-90 minutes each. On the weekends we are required to stay within our scheduled time to keep other bride's scheduled appointments. If you would prefer a quieter salon or a longer appointment, we suggest making an appointment during the weekday!


Who & what should I bring to my appointment?

We ask that you keep your appointment limited to 4 to 5 guests. We also recommend that you make sure the individuals you bring will support your vision and taste. Although we love kids, we recommend that you do not bring children to make sure the appointment is focused solely on you!

Please bring the proper undergarments to your bridal appointment. The requested undergarments would be a strapless bra and proper underwear to be worn while you are trying on wedding gowns.


Do you have any made-to-order wedding dresses?

Our wedding dress selection only features off the rack styles, which means that when you say “yes!” to the wedding dress of your dreams, you take her home that very same day! We do not have any made to order wedding dress styles at Bridal Rack Indy.

Have the off-the-rack dresses in the salon been previously worn down the aisle?

No! We do not sell used wedding dresses! Bridal Rack Indy is not a consignment wedding dress store.

All of our off-the-rack gowns have either been tried-on during bridal appointments and in some cases, not even then! We take the time to ensure that every gown in our salon can be worn down the aisle looking custom-made just for you.


What type of condition are the designer stock and sample gowns in?

Our wedding dresses are in excellent condition - a perk of knowing exactly where they are coming from (our sister stores, Marie Gabriel Couture and Brides by Young) and how well they have been taken care of before entering our store. Also, we do not sell used wedding dresses!

We conduct a thorough check on the gown to ensure that the quality is in top shape although of course, part of the reason some of the deals are as excellent as they are is because occasionally some gowns are in need of small repairs. This means you get the amazing savings and we’ll help give some information on how to fix those imperfections for you to take to your seamstress. Gentle signs of usage should be expected but usually they are hardly noticeable!


What sizes can you find in-store? What if I am not your typical sample size?

We carry a wide selection of bridal gowns with sizes ranging from 6 to 34! We receive our wedding dress samples from our sister stores, Marie Gabriel Couture and Brides by Young who carry leading designers in a range of sizes!

Remember! Alterations can dramatically aid the fit of a gown and all of our stylists are trained to understand which styles and designs can be altered to make the dress larger or smaller. We will always only show you gowns that will fit your body! No matter if your gown is custom ordered or off-the-rack, all brides will need alterations regardless. If you are in need of seamstress recommendations - we have partnered with the best local seamstresses that can put that final touch on your dream dress!


Do I get to take my dress home the same day? What if my wedding is in a couple weeks?

Yes Yes Yes! The beauty of offering off-rack gowns means that your dress can be taken home the same day you purchase it! (The dress you try on and fall in love with IS the dress you take with you!) This means that if you are on a time crunch to find the perfect dress - we are here for you!

No matter what - please remember to leave at least 3 weeks before your wedding date to save time for the proper alterations.


Do you offer in-store alterations?

We do not offer in-store alteration packages but rest assured, we have recommendations of the best local seamstresses who can assist you with the alterations process from beginning to end!

Remember! Every bride will require alterations, whether it is large adjustments or just those final tweaks, to perfect your gown.


How does the experience differ between a sample store & a salon where you order your wedding dress?

There is NO difference! We make sure that your bridal appointment feels exactly the same as any other bridal salon. During your appointment you will work one-on-one with one of our highly trained stylists whose entire goal is to find you the dress of your dreams! The only difference is that our gowns are a fraction of the cost and you get to take your dream dress home the same day!


Do you charge for appointments?

Yes and No! No, you do not need to pay for an appointment with us but we do ask that you be respectful of the time and service we are setting aside for you and to please show up in a timely manner for your appointment. If for some reason you need to cancel or reschedule, let us know with as much time as possible so we can offer your spot to another wonderful bride! Occasionally, a bride will want tot schedule a follow up or second appointment and yes- this appointment does have a fee of $150. This is to ensure that your stylist and your gown is specially reserved and waiting for you. When you officially say YES to the dress (yay!) that $150 booking fee will then get applied to your purchase. However, if you do not select a gown with us, it is non-refundable.
